Miguel García was born in Cordoba, Spain in 1989.
He received his Fashion Design degree from Istituto Marangoni in 2010. He studied between London and Milan and introduced a new fabric for the very first time on his graduation show, made of optical fiber. During the year he won the Swarovski Elements Competition 2010 and started a good relationship with the brand.
Following his degree, he worked for the Spanish brand Loewe and after this, secured an internship centred on Womenswear at Emilio de la Morena, based in London.
Miguel founded his own label in 2012. The name “Miguel Alex” is his original name Miguel and “Alex” the surname of his grandmother.
He presented his first collection in October 2011 in Istanbul. Right after a second collection he was chosen as one of the winners of Next Generation Competition, promoted and organized by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana where he had the opportunity to show at Milan Fashion Week in February 2013.
Since that moment on, he presented his collections on schedule at Milan Fashion Week and also he showcased his latest collections at Samsung Ego Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid.
